2. Is the Torean path safe for hikers?
Yes, it is safe under the guidance of our professional team. While the Torean route features dramatic cliffs and narrow ridges, our guides are highly trained in mountain safety. However, this route is not recommended during heavy rainy seasons as paths can become slippery.
3. What time do we reach the finish point in Torean Village?
On the final day, we usually arrive at Torean Village between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. We recommend not booking a flight on the same evening of your descent to avoid any rush due to trail conditions.
4. Can I request a special diet (Vegetarian/Vegan)?
Absolutely! Our mountain chefs are skilled in preparing various meals. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or have specific food allergies (Gluten-free, etc.), please inform us during the booking process so we can prepare a dedicated menu for you.
5. What happens if I cannot reach the summit?
Safety is our priority. If you feel unable to continue the summit attack, you can wait at the Sembalun Crater Rim camp with one of our porters. Once the rest of the group returns from the peak, you will all continue the descent to the lake together.
6. Will there be mobile signal during the trek?
Signal is generally available at Sembalun Rim and certain spots on the way to the summit. However, once we enter the Torean Valley (Day 3), the signal is very weak or non-existent due to the deep canyon walls. It’s a perfect chance for a digital detox!
7. Are the camping equipment and sleeping bags clean?
We maintain high hygiene standards. All sleeping bags, pillows, and tents are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every trip. We ensure you get fresh and comfortable gear to help you rest well during the expedition.
8. Is travel insurance included in the package?
Our package includes basic climbing insurance from the Rinjani National Park (TNGR). However, we strongly recommend that all participants have their own comprehensive travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking and emergency medical evacuation.
