Day 0 :

Arrival & Overnight Stay in Senaru Village

Upon arrival at Lombok International Airport, the harbor, or other pick-up points on Lombok Island (Senggigi, Kuta, or Mataram), the Lombok Rinjani Moment team will warmly welcome you.The drive to Senaru Village takes approximately 2–3 hours, passing rice fields, hills, and lush tropical forests.Check in at your accommodation and rest, enjoying the cool mountain air at the foot of Mount Rinjani. Dinner will be served at the accommodation. In the evening, your guide will provide a trekking briefing, inspect your gear, and explain the route and safety procedures for the upcoming adventure.

Day 1 :

Sembalun Village – Crater Rim Sembalun (2,639 m)

After breakfast at 06:30, drive to Sembalun Village (1,150 m), the starting point of the trek.Complete registration at the Mount Rinjani National Park office and meet your guides and porters.Start trekking around 08:00, passing through savanna trails with panoramic valley views. Take short rests at Post 1 (1,300 m) and Post 2 Tengengean (1,500 m) for refreshments.Continue via Post 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m) before reaching Crater Rim Sembalun (2,639 m) in the afternoon.Enjoy breathtaking views of Segara Anak Lake, Mount Barujari, and the sunset above the clouds. Dinner will be served, and overnight stay will be in tents at the Crater Rim.

Day 2 :

Crater Rim Sembalun – Segara Anak Lake (2,000 m)

Wake up early for breakfast at camp. Begin descending toward Segara Anak Lake (2,000 m), passing beautiful tropical forests and rocky paths.Arrive at Segara Anak Lake and take time to explore the turquoise crater lake and admire the active Barujari cone.Set up camp near the lake for a relaxing evening. Dinner will be served at the campsite, and overnight is spent enjoying the peaceful lake surroundings and a starry sky.

Day 3 :

Segara Anak Lake – Senaru Village (600 m) – Departure

After breakfast, begin the final descent via the Senaru route, passing waterfalls, lush forests, and scenic valleys.Lunch will be provided along the way. Arrive at Senaru Village (600 m) in the afternoon.Our vehicle will transfer you back to your hotel, harbor, or Lombok International Airport.The trek concludes with an unforgettable adventure, leaving you with lifelong memories of Mount Rinjani’s beauty and the warm hospitality of Lombok. 🌿

Which route does this 3 Days 2 Nights package use?

This package uses the best “Traverse Route.” You will Ascend via Sembalun Village (1,150m) on the east side, which is the ideal route to reach the Summit, and Descend via Senaru Village (601m) on the north side, famous for its lush tropical rainforest.

Will we be camping overnight at Segara Anak Lake?

Yes, absolutely! This is the main highlight of the 3D/2N package. You will camp at the Sembalun Crater Rim (Plawangan Sembalun) on Night 1 (for the summit attack), and camp directly beside Segara Anak Lake (2,000m) on Night 2. You will get to experience camping in Rinjani’s two most iconic locations.

Will we visit the Hot Springs?

Definitely. After descending from the Summit and arriving at Segara Anak Lake on Day 2, you will have time to relax and recover. Our guide will take you on a short walk to the Natural Hot Springs area, which is located very close to the lake campsite.

How difficult is this classic 3D/2N package?

This package is categorized as strenuous (difficult), but it is more balanced than the 2D/1N package. The main challenge remains the Summit Attack on Day 2. Keep in mind that on Day 3, you must ascend again from Segara Anak Lake to the Senaru Crater Rim (approx. 3 hours) before beginning the long descent to Senaru Village.

What is the hardest part of this route?

There are two distinct hard parts. First, the Summit Attack (pre-dawn on Day 2), which is cold, steep, and on loose sandy terrain. Second, the climb from Segara Anak Lake up to the Senaru Crater Rim on Day 3. Trekkers often find this climb challenging as it’s a steep ascent after the exhaustion of the summit.

Why descend via Senaru instead of returning to Sembalun?

Descending via Senaru provides you with the complete Rinjani experience. If you return to Sembalun, you follow the same savanna trail. By descending to Senaru, you get to experience an entirely different landscape: a dense, shady, and beautiful tropical rainforest rich in flora and fauna.

When is the best time to hike Mount Rinjani?

The best hiking season is during the Dry Season, which typically runs from April to November. During this period, the weather is clearer, the trails are not slippery, and the views are spectacular—perfect for the summit attack and enjoying the lake. The National Park is usually closed during the rainy season (approx. January to March).

Do I need to bring my own camping equipment?

No, you don’t. Your Lombok Rinjani Moment package includes Premium Camping Gear: high-quality tents, warm sleeping bags, comfortable mattresses, a private toilet tent, and all cooking utensils. You only need to bring your personal clothing, daypack, and personal medication.
